NATIONAL SAVINGS TIME DEPOSIT (AMENDMENT) RULES, 2017 – AMENDMENT IN RULE 5

NOTIFICATION NO. GSR 1236(E) [F.NO.1/10/2016-NS.II], DATED 3-10-2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15 of the Government Savings Bank Act, 1873 (5 of 1873), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the National Savings Time Deposit Rules, 1981, namely:—

1. (1) These rules may be called the National Savings Time Deposit (Amendment) Rules, 2017.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the National Savings Time Deposit Rules, 1981, in rule 5, in sub-rule (1), for the words “two hundred”, the words “one hundred” shall be substituted.
