FILING OF HEALTH INSURANCE PRODUCTS THROUGH BAP F&U HEALTH INSURANCE MODULE

As you are aware, the Authority is in the process of development & implementation of Business Analytics Project (BAP). Now, the module enabling the filing of Health Insurance products i.e., Pure Health, PA & Travel Insurance is ready for implementation.

You are requested to access the following website http://www.irdabap.orq.in for submission of product related filing such as filing of new products/add-ons, modifications of existing products/add-ons and withdrawal of existing products. The required Administrator User-Id and Password were already provided to Principal Officers / Compliance officers. The profiles of the other Users (sub id) have to be created by the Administrator.

We hereby advise all Insurers to file their Health insurance products through the online mode in BAP Health Insurance F & U Module with effect from 5th JUNE 2015 . We propose to organize a hands-on training programme on filing the applications in an online environment. Details of the same will be communicated to all the insurers in due course. The insurers, who have filed new products, but are yet to get approval, may file the said products during the hands-on training.

Insurers are required to note that:

I. The instructions for filing the new products are placed in the login area of the BAP Module. The Authority may revise the same based on requirements and suggestions, and the updated version, if any, shall be made available to the users.
II. The provision to capture existing product (legacy) data in BAP is under process and would be made available by 20th June 2015. Post the release of the particular functionality, insurers will be instructed separately on the usage of the same. This will facilitate modification and withdrawal of existing products.
III. The helpline system is made available in the BAP module and the queries will be attended by the team on priority basis. Insurers may also escalate the issues at the following:

*Please note that queries have to be routed through Helpline in the Module. If not resolved within a reasonable time, escalations can be made to these IDs/contact nos.
IV. Class 2 and Class 3 digital signatures of the Authorized signatories shall be accepted by the Module. Insurers are required to obtain Digital Signatures from Authorized Vendors (i.e. E-Mudra, Sify, etc).
V. Insurers are advised to ensure that there are adequate manual controls and validations in order to ensure that the data submitted through the system in factually correct.
VI. The document submission guideline document is placed along with the user manual at our portal and will be updated on a regular basis.
